Chairman Tower at the Taj Mahal Atlantic City Opens!

The Trump Taj Mahal Chairman tower's first 20 stories will open Friday Sept 29, 2008, just in time for the busy Labor Day weekend. The rest of the Chairman Towerl will be completed by year's end. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 18, 2008 with Donald Trump, his daughter, Ivanka, John Jackson and Gov. Jon S. Corzine heading the list of dignitaries expected to attend.

The new tower is an architectural gem that stands out in the Atlantic City skyline like a Diamond among rocks. Rising 40 stories and 467 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and World Renown Boardwalk, the experience will be second to none in Atlantic City. the tower is designed to have great views, top of the line service and set up for a longer vacation experience which, is the opposite of the former daytrip bus experience.

A complete departure from the previous Trump Taj Mahal look is in place, for example a wide corridor of glossy marble floors connects the new tower with the existing casino complex. A soft brown, gold and orange tones dominate the color scheme throughout the tower - the opposite of the flamboyant pinks and purples from the Taj Mahal's yesteryear.

New Chairman Tower - Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic City

The 782 room project is dubbed the Chairman Tower in honor of Donald Trump himself, the chairman of Trump Entertainment. But the tower is also surprisingly unlike Trump. For one thing, there is not one sign on the outside of the building that blares the Trump name. Compare that with the Taj Mahal's existing 1,250-room casino hotel, which is covered with 10 signs with the Trump name and logo.

From the outside, the new tower boasts a sleek profile wrapped in reflective silver glass. The building has eight sides, cut like an irregular shaped diamond. So many different sides ensure that guests will either have a view of the ocean or the surrounding bays in rooms and suites that include floor-to-ceiling windows. The floor to ceiling Windows add a feel of a contemporary Oceanfront Complex in Boca Raton / Miami Florida, customer will love unobstructed Direct Ocean Views.

The combination of colors in the new Chairman tower give you a modern upscale feeling. Interior design was spearheaded by Calvin Dix and Katie Adams of Hirsch Bedner Associates located in Santa Monica, California. The color combination consists of rich browns, gold's and red tones, creating a warm and contemporary atmosphere that screams class.
